Bio Microneedling Vancouver:
Korean Spicule Skin Renewal
THESERA G Bio Microneedling at Iris Beauty Solution in Vancouver is a non-energy-based skin-renewal treatment that uses microscopic sea-sponge spicules instead of chemical peeling acids, metal microneedles or heat-producing devices.
The treatment is designed to improve the appearance of uneven texture, congestion, visible pores, dullness, uneven tone and early signs of aging while supporting an active skin-renewal process.
Bio microneedling can be especially interesting for clients who want more than surface skincare but prefer to begin with a non-thermal, non-device approach rather than moving immediately to laser, RF microneedling or a stronger resurfacing procedure.
What Is THESERA G Bio Microneedling?
Bio microneedling uses microscopic sponge-derived spicules rather than conventional metal microneedles.
During the treatment, the spicule formulation is worked into the skin using a specialized manual technique. The microscopic spicules create temporary superficial pathways in the skin and initiate a renewal process that will continue to be felt after the appointment up to 72 hours.

Spicules are microscopic needle-like structures derived from natural sponge material. During THESERA G, specially prepared sea-sponge spicules are worked across the skin manually, creating temporary superficial microchannels and stimulating the skin-renewal process. Unlike traditional microneedling, no metal needles are used.
THESERA G uses a professional Korean spicule system rather than untreated ground sponge. Its Growth DIA Pin formulation combines specially prepared spicules with proprietary processing involving Rg2 red ginseng and chitosan. The treatment also includes a professional ampoule and finishing cream mask to support the skin throughout the treatment and recovery process.

How Does Bio Microneedling Work?
The treatment can be understood in three stages.
Controlled Spicule Renewal
Microscopic spicules are worked across the skin using a specialized technique, creating temporary superficial pathways and stimulating an active renewal process.
Professional Skin Support
The spicule step is combined with professional Korean skincare formulations selected as part of the THESERA G protocol.
Barrier-Supportive Finishing Care
The treatment finishes with supportive skincare designed to help maintain hydration and comfort as the skin moves into its recovery period.

What Skin Concerns Can Bio Microneedling Help Improve?
This spicule skin-renewal treatment targets a range of common skin concerns, including:
-
rough or uneven texture
-
dullness
-
visible pores and congestion
-
blackheads and closed comedones
-
oily or breakout-prone skin
-
post-breakout marks
-
fine lines and visible signs of skin aging
THESERA G can also be used on darker skin tones. Because it does not rely on heat or light-based energy, it offers a non-energy-based option for skin renewal. For clients who are prone to post-inflammatory pigmentation, individual pigmentation history and current skin condition are considered before treatment.

Individual experiences and results vary.
THESERA G for Perimenopausal, Menopausal and Mature Skin
Skin often changes during perimenopause and menopause. It may become drier or more sensitive, lose some of its firmness and resilience, and develop changes in texture or more noticeable uneven pigmentation. These changes are important to consider when choosing a treatment.
Many women at this stage are looking for ways to keep their skin healthy and refreshed without surgery, long recovery periods or overly aggressive procedures. The goal may simply be smoother texture, better hydration, a brighter and more even-looking complexion, and overall improvement in skin quality.
It is also important to consider how the skin has reacted to treatments in the past, especially for anyone with melasma, post-inflammatory pigmentation or a tendency to develop dark spots after irritation.
At Iris Beauty Solution, we don’t believe that stronger automatically means better. Treatment is chosen based on the condition of your skin, its sensitivity and pigmentation history, and what you are trying to achieve.
Bio Microneedling for Pigmentation-Prone Skin
THESERA G helps improve uneven-looking pigmentation, post-breakout marks and overall skin tone as part of the skin-renewal process.
Melasma and other forms of pigmentation can respond differently from person to person, so results vary and this treatment is not the right choice for every pigmentation case.
THESERA G for Congestion and Breakout-Prone Skin
THESERA G is designed to renew congested, uneven skin. The treatment targets clogged pores, blackheads, closed comedones and rough or uneven texture while supporting the natural skin-renewal process. It is also a good option when the main concern is the uneven texture and visible marks left behind after previous breakouts.
The result is smoother, fresher-looking skin with a clearer, more refined appearance.
THESERA G vs Chemical Peels and Traditional Microneedling
These treatments can address some overlapping cosmetic concerns, but they do not work in the same way.
A chemical peel primarily uses exfoliating acids to create controlled chemical exfoliation.
Traditional microneedling uses sterile metal needles to create controlled micro-injuries at selected depths.
THESERA G Bio Microneedling uses microscopic sponge-derived spicules worked into the skin manually. It does not use a metal microneedling device and does not rely primarily on peeling acids or treatment heat.
None is automatically “better.” Treatment selection depends on the skin concern, sensitivity, pigmentation history, desired downtime and treatment goals.

What Should I Expect After a Spicule Treatment?
Immediately after treatment, skin may appear pink or mildly red and can feel sensitive or prickly to the touch.
During the following days, some clients experience dryness, temporary roughness, flaking or visible peeling. Others have considerably less visible peeling.
While the skin is recovering, aftercare should remain gentle. Strong retinoids, exfoliating acids and physical scrubs are temporarily paused, while hydration, barrier-supportive skincare and daily sun protection become especially important.
The amount of visible peeling is not a measurement of treatment success.
Why Does Iris Include a Follow-Up Korean Facial?
At Iris Beauty Solution, the current THESERA G program includes a complimentary Korean follow-up facial approximately two weeks after the spicule treatment.
This is not a repeat of THESERA G. The two appointments have different roles.
Renew → Recover → Rehydrate
Renew — THESERA G begins the active spicule skin-renewal process.
Recover — during the following days, the skin moves through its initial sensitivity, dryness and possible flaking or peeling.
Rehydrate — at the follow-up appointment, we can see how the skin has responded and focus on hydration, comfort and barrier-supportive care. Gentle cleansing and extractions may also be performed when appropriate.
The follow-up facial is not included because THESERA G is somehow incomplete on its own. It is part of the Iris approach because it allows us to reassess the skin after the initial renewal period rather than treating the appointment as an isolated procedure.
How Many Treatments Will I Need?
You can see a difference after the first THESERA G treatment. Depending on your skin concerns and goals, a series of up to three treatments may be recommended for optimal results.
Because the skin-renewal process continues for several weeks after treatment, we assess your skin’s response before planning the next session.
